Hello everyone, Apologies if these have already been answered but couldn't seem to find what I was looking for. 3 questions relating to j curls. 1. Keep glutes "engaged" or relaxed? Should I keep my butt slightly squeezed for the duration of the curl, yah or nah? 2. Should I engage my abs to help pull myself down or just relax and let the weight do the work? ( I find I can curl more by pulling myself down, maybe it is because I'm not using heavy enough weights?) Thanks very much, mike

Coach Sommer I thought you would like to see an update on how young Josh. He was 1 of the 25 young men selected to the National Future Stars Camp in a field of over 200 boys thanks to the mentorship and guidance your program and advice has given me. I can't explain how grateful I am to what your philosophy and book has done for my boys program and Josh in particular. Hello What in your opinion is the most optimal landing technique to use on hard surface? Now when I say optimal, i mean optimal for the joints (minimizing impact), not optimal from gymnastic standpoint. I come from parkour/freerunning background and common rule here is "not more than 90 degrees knee angle" (with roll to dissipate remaining momentum). This is usable in some situations, but not in most (jumps for precision being the fine example). I've been thinking a lot about squat landings - landing on extended legs , than squating (properly) and touch hands to floor to dissipate kinetic energy. I've put this to a test and it felt very different from typical landing, more natural and smooth. My knowledge in the field of biomechanics is limited and that is why i post this here. To get suggestions whether or not is this a good idea to develop. As i mentioned earlier, aestetic quality is not my goal here, function is. I'll be very glad for every opinion Thanks
