Jeremy Daw
Dan Schulz, how do you like it? I'm looking at that one too.
Adrian Theopold
Thinking about getting those in oak, because it is less likely to break. Any ideas about the kipping mechanism? Would like to install rings on the top rung and therefore something likes this seems to make sense. https://www.artimex-sport.com/de/produkte/sprossenwand-ausklappbar-inkl-klimmzugb-gel-buche-2-4x0-9-m-artikelnr-7445-2504

Patrick Johnston
I have the eucalyptus bars linked in this thread. I would not buy them again. Heck, if they offered them to me for free, I wouldn't take them.

I've been thinking about the very same stall bars as you, for the same reasons. I eventually decided against it because my student apartment is only one or two inches higher than 2,4m and I couldn't even use the pull-up bar properly without banging my head on the ceiling. Other than that, I didn't like the arrangement of bars on this one. I finally decided for this combination: - oak stall bars (350€): https://www.artimex-sport.com/de/produkte/sprossenwand-rothenburg-aus-eiche-240x90-cm-artikelnr-279-34 - metal half rack (200€): https://www.megafitness.shop/megatec-half-rack-wall-rig-wand-rack.html This way I can install rings (and other stuff like climbing training holds) on the half rack pull-up bar (50 cm distance to wall) and also use the half rack for stuff like bench press and squats in the future, when the foundation is there;) I think that's kind of the best bang for buck solution to satisfy all my needs/wishes. I decided to pay the extra 80€ for oak stall bars instead of beech, should be worth the extra. One question about the optimal arrangement: Optimally I'd like to put both stall bars and half rack into the same place (mounting them centered on the same spot on the wall) if possible, in order to not waste the whole 25 sqm apartment. As the half rack is about 1,2m wide and the stall bars are 0,9m, that should be possible. But I'm not sure, if this would interfere with some exercises on the stall bars. The pull up bar would be about 35 cm away from the stall bar rungs and at 2,1m height, whilst the top stall bar for hanging leg lifts and stuff like that would be at 2,4m height. I'm also not sure if there's enough space for stuff like ground rows, when the rings hang directly under the pull-up bar and there are just about 35 cm to the stall bars. Do you think there's any problem regarding this arrangement?
