runner711
Hi all, Over last few weeks i have been progressing with ring muscle ups, obviously i have been feeling the pain through the transition phase and the load on the elbows, nevertheless in the space of a month i have been able to get to 10 nice and slow muscle ups in the time frame of about 25 mins. Before my session 3 days ago i was stretching and playing around with L-sits when i felt something go in my left arm. I gave it a rest, did a few wrist stretches then went to do my ring work, my grip in my left hand got progressively weaker as i got to the 6th muscle up, to the point that i had to take extra recovery, it felt like there was a small electric current running down my arm from bicep to hand. I finished my set, stretches and wrist mobility exercise and that was it. Day of rest. Back in gym, struggled to do 4 muscles ups - had to call it a day and my entire forearm ached for about 10 mins. What is going on? Any help is much appreciated.
Afiya Zia
Generally, forearm splints are a result of injury to inadequately conditioned connective tissues in the forearms. Rest the injury and resume training with reduced volume. There are plenty of threads on forearm splints.
Joshua Naterman
Go to a qualified medical professional. Feeling something "go" is bad.
