Guest
For about 3 months now, I've been having a constant pain in my lower back, and it's getting worse. From the beginning I only felt pain when lifting heavy, now it has gotten to the point where I can't even walk or lie down on my back without pain. Some short background: About three months ago, I tried a few squats with weights on my back, and I was told to arch hard. After a couple reps I started feeling uncomfortable and stopped. Couple of days later I was just reaching to grab something from the floor, and my back snapped (I could literally hear a heavy crack). When this happened I fell to the floor and wasn't able to move in about 10 minutes, this is the point when I really started feeling pain. I rested for about a week (and with resting I mean no exercise or lifting things at all) and the pain got better but did not disappear. Two weeks ago I did like a military press with a friend of mine used as weight, I arched when pressing as well. Ever since this day I've had an extreme pain in my lower back, and It's not getting better with exercise. Since my work requires me to lift things, bend down, getting on my knees and stuff, I need to fix this problem now. I can't even sit down without feeling pain! Btw, I was doing ring swings today and the pain was very obvious in the back swing. I could hear a popping noise at the same time as the pain peaked. Do you guys have any idea what this is and how I can fix it?
FREDERIC DUPONT
Have you seen your doctor? What did he say you should do?Do that!
Guest
The doctor told me that the problem was an inflamation caused by inflexibility. I believe the squats were performed with wrong form, which caused the inflamation to become obvious. He gave me a copule of stretches and exercises which I will try out this week, hopefully I'll get better!
