Saito
Hi, I just wanted to ask, is using the wall when training for handstands the best method possible to develop a good handstand? Stomach-to-wall version.I'm no gymnast or anything, nor training for it, I just like bodyweight exercises and would like to have a really good free-standing handstand, but I've come to really hate them because I suck at them. Should I just stick with the stomach to wall version until I can hold it for 3 minutes?
Blairbob
Stomach to wall is good. You still have to train the balance of kicking up to it which takes quite a bit of technique and practice. So, basically getting into handstand.

I just place my feet on the wall and begin to move backwards with my hands, that's pretty easy, getting into the position then; is that what you're talking about? Blairbob
Kicking up to it is what you would do if you are doing a free handstand, typically from a lunge position.
