DrAlexisOlson
I can do a front handspring front tuck pretty well so now I'm working on the pike.I feel like I have enough height, but not enough rotation. Any tips?(Please at least watch the last video. It's my best one so far.)TuKyF-6m1lE Here is one filmed at 300 frames per second:R31AiuU_-lU And finally, the first one I stood up. (600 fps)l1tus6VO01Y I know the form is a little loose on the entry but it's so hard to stay tight coming off of the spring board.
Coach Sommer
You have made a good start on training this vault. However here are a couple of issues that I noticed which you may want to consider adjusting:1) During your hurdle onto the board your second knee is too low.2) As you impact the board after the hurdle your arms are already elevated when they should be down or even slightly behind your hips.3) Your chest is too open and your shoulders are too "piked" coming onto the table.4) Your shoulder extension is incomplete coming off of the table during your block.5) The handspring should rotate a little further prior to your closing the body into the pike position.Yours in Fitness,Coach Sommer
