Olivier 2 GA
Hi all,I'm still a beginner in handstand work but I now know that one of the hardest things to master with handstand is the kick off. Once you find your balance it’s a matter of upper body strength. I train between 10to 20 min in the evening against a wall and still have hard time with my kick off. I do the classical one, kicking one leg first. But then 3 days ago I realised that if I kick with both legs at the same time and then stay in a tucked position just enough time to stabilised and find my balance (less than 1sec) and then extend my legs, my handstand is a lot better.More over, I discovered that spreading aside my legs aside helped with the balance…Does anyone experiment the same kind of things?Olivier
Richard Duelley
Try some of the drills in this video that Ido posted. They work great even in a headstand! 8) http://gymnasticbodies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2013
