shaking from stretching

Hey,

because of my hollow back problem, maybe hyperlordosis, i want to start to be more active with stretching.

Today i was using the "couch stretch" by kelly starrett and after 2mins for each leg, for stretching my very tight quads, i was very shaky around my knees.

I guess it was too much? stretching is also taxing the muscles that hard, yes?

Just want to be sure.

The second problem was that i stretched quads so i have better ppt potential for FL exercise, but after that my front squads have been week and yes, i noticed it s probably no good idea to have these two exercises in a row or even one session, core was also involved much in fl for sure.

Are you also stretching before Fl exercises to get more range with ppt or is it more reasonable to do it after maybe?

Thanks!

William

It's pretty normal I think. I experience shaking pretty often when I keep a stretch for 2+ minutes.

As for the second question I'm not sure I understand what you want to know correctly. Did you stretch in the described manner (2 minutes per leg) before doing front squats? That doesn't seem like a great idea. Also you are right, front squats require extreme core tightness and stability to keep the torso uprising with the anterior load, so the fact that the core was prefatigued by FL work may have impacted your performance.

Ah yes, i thought so too but why do i just feel this shaking after stretching quads and not when stretching e.g my upper back? Maybe it s because of the knee where all tendons are going through?

My second question was if anyone else is stretching prior fl training for more rom.
