Simon Aspinall
Hi all, I'm seeking suggestions on good stretches and release techniques for the back of the arm pit and subscap region. It's built up a lot of fascia and so bad that I can't even manage a strict pull up anymore. I've had some professional release on it and I've visited several YouTube vids but it is so stubborn, I didn't know if anyone here had experience of clearing it up. Many thanks in advance and best wishes, simon.
Douglas Wadle
Passive hanging is great for this. Especially with supine grip. Myofascial release with a ball works as well. As does the active mobility found in the foundation program.
Alessandro Mainente
For the armpitt there is the thoracic stretch series that has some wonderful stretches and also foundations 3 and 4 for RC development.. If you learn to open the chest while upperarm is flexed you will enjoy some wonderful sensation. Also you live in Leeds, take your car , drive for some kms and go to Forma GB affiliate , Wesley Tan will solve your problem.
Simon Aspinall
Hi guys thanks for the suggestions, it's such an awkward area to get to. Do you think stretching is enough to undo the built up tissue? Really appreciate your help and when I get it sorted I will certainly pop down to Stroud! :-)
