jamesters
Do you think training circles, flares, or related skills with weights is beneficial or might it throw off the technical aspect of the skills. I was thinking either ankle weights or a weighted belt.
Blairbob
Simply put, train with more extension and shoulder lean and you will increase the load on the lever. No need to add weight.

Just straight out and do the circles faster..With the flairs if your legs aren' split apart and hips aren't to shoulder height then fix that instead of working weights... Coach Sommer
Once you have developed at least a medium quality circle/flair; adding very light weights to the ankles (1/4 lb or so) and a weighted belt (1-2 pounds) can be very beneficial when implemented as a station of three circles or so inbetween your primary turns on the pommel horse without weights.Yours in Fitness,Coach Sommer
