Nick Ebner
Can anyone recommend a portable parallel bar set up? I currently work out of a space where I cannot keep them up would need them to fold up to slide next to the wall. I have used the PowerMonkey one's but David Durante suggested I wait till they have new model or something else as they are very shaky. I found a bunch online, but I prefer the judgement of my peers with this topic if possible prior to making a decision. Also, they will primarily be used for the Hollow Back Press Dip progressions in a group class, nothing too dynamic for the moment. Thanks
Cole Dano
They are a little too low, but the best in class for fold-up PBs. http://www.spieth-gymnastics.com/product-detail-spieth-en/high-training-parallel-bars.html
Nick Ebner
thanks @Cole Dano - I got an estimate. I just have to figure if with the height it is worth it. Do you have/use them?
Cole Dano
I've used them, they are vey well made, unlike some others that could double as a vibration plate, these are quite solid especially considering how easy they are to move around. Yes, I wish they were a bit taller, but you can do dips etc, albeit with bent knees. The height is the trade off you have to make for portability it seems. I'm saving for a set and plan to either make an extension or just put them on boxes when I need more height.
Nick Ebner
Thanks @Cole Dano. I appreciate the info. Unless something comparable comes into play that is taller, I will be doing the same.
