Paul Ortiz
I have Scheuermann's disease. This means I have an exaggerated and semirigid kyphotic curvature and compensatory lordosis. It is not postural roundback and it cannot be corrected through exercise. I will never, ever, be able to hold a correct arched body position. Can GST Foundations be adapted for my limitation? Mark Collins
Can you post a picture of your x-rays?
Paul Ortiz
It has been a long time since I had x-rays taken and I don't know if I still have a copy of the films, but I'll look. Perhaps I can provide other useful information?
Mark Collins
With the exercises that involve spinal extension such as arch holds it is good to know how many soinal levels are flexed, stiff or fused. If you cannot find your x-rays post a picture of your posture from side and back on. Even if you cannot get a fully arched position any improvement will make a big difference in how you move and feel.
Eva Pelegrin
Hi Paul, Another thought regarding spinal structural issues is that some of the core and back exercises in Foundation could help you in preventing curves worsening overtime. You may need to modify certain exercises, many of us do, for different reasons. The forum coaches are extremely helpful in providing appropriate modifications on an individual basis. I'd recommend you give Foundation a try.
