Longshanks
Do L-sit pull-ups increase the tension/weight on the arms and back (as supposed to normal pull-ups) or does it just make it harder because its a stomach + back+ arm exercise? Would L-sit pull-ups have the same benefit as weighted pull-ups?
Erik Sjolin
Personally, I find it really increases the amount of tension on the entire body, but mostly core. Since you have to contract most of your muscles to maintain this position straight through the entire exercise, you're working extra hard. Lifting your legs up would also push you back further behind the bar to centre yourself, so I guess it might work different muscles?
Blairbob
L-pullups make the lever longer which means it is harder. Instead of your feet being underneath you it is way in front of you so it's a bit like doing a weighted pullup. It is harder to start the pullup in a L-pullup than a regular pullup.
