Bicep Tendonitis & High Bar: What part of the swing contributes to it?

I've developed bicep tendonitis (right arm) from doing too many high bar swings this month.  (I've since stopped all activities involving hanging with straight arms, and I'm now concentrating on doing bicep and shoulder strengthening exercises.)

To prevent re-injuring my bicep, when I get back on the high bar, I'm wondering about the following:

  1. Are there any parts of the high bar swing that are hardest on the biceps and/or shoulders?  Or, is it generally the whole swing itself?
  2. If there are parts of the swing that put an excessive load on the biceps (eg: at the top of the swing when you stretch out, casting, pushing down on the bar during the backswing), are there any techniques to reduce the strain on the bicep (perhaps maybe not extending so much with arms)?

My swing technique is so-so, and I still have the tendency to arch in all the wrong places.  Could my poor technique have contributed to my injury (in addition to having weak biceps/shoulders)?

Here's a vid of my most recent swings:

Thanks for any advice!

All the swing strongly engage the elbows since the arms must be straight all the time. probably your grip it is not strong enough. forearms work as elbow stabilizator and in case of weak grip the most of the elbows stabilization it is more to the other like biceps, that as a consequence are overdoing.

Thanks, Alessandro for your input!  I never would have thought about my grip strength.  That's something I'll definitely have to work on getting stronger.  Hopefully, I won't have to take too much time off of the high bar as my arm heals.  Thanks, again!
