Mouclier Victor
Hello ! I'm asking my self which leg muscle is the prime mover in walking and... i'm not sure. If there was a lift/exercice that replicate muscle activation of walking, which one would it be ? Hope your trainings goes well !
Nick Murray
It really depends on which part of the gait (walking) cycle you mean. There's a lot of co-contraction of anterior/posterior hip/leg muscles from initial stance to mid stance, glute max extends the hip from mid to late stance, flexor hallucis longus assists with toe-off...there are a lot of moving parts. Google "The Gait Guys", they have an entire blog and Facebook series dedicated to this and other gait-related issues.
