Matthew Walker
Thought I'd share my quick and dirty DIY parallel bars I put together. I used scrap wood I had but I priced it out new for about $150ish. Its solid as a rock. 4x4s, 2x4s, fence posts and screws. That's all that's required. 5

Jeff Barletta
Hey Matthew, How tall is this? I am looking to make something very similar and plan on making it ~6ft high. Do you think it will still be stable at this height?
Matthew Walker
This one is a little over 4ft high. My bottom boards are 4ft long across I believe and it's stable. You can just make the boards on the bottom a little longer if yours will be 6ft high.
Jeff Barletta
Thanks for the quick reply! I'll give it a go and post back with the results
Nick Murray
Great work! For Korean dips, assuming one of the bars is removable, you might want a longer baseboard/footer for stability, including putting some weights on it.
