I've actually seen better gains from the Handstand progressions than my lifting, and was thinking about starting Foundation 1, but don't feel like investing in a power rack or any extra equipment at the moment. How far can I get in Foundation 1 without purchasing any extra equipment beyond a dowel, an adjustable beach, a mat, and some weights? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bill Marr Posted May 3, 2018 Share Posted May 3, 2018 Hey Clifford. Alessandro is correct -- not having stall bars will not affect training too much in Foundation One. I am renting now and have compensated by using a metal roof-top access ladder in my building as a stall bar. I know GB sells back straps and door fix tools but if I'm going to buy those from Italy I will spend a lot of money due to shipment and import duties. You can make Parallettes from cheap PVC which will be adequate and you can make many, many equipment substitutions (many can be found here on the forum), to remain affordable but still get your desired training effect.
