Guest ilove2workout28
All I know is to go from knees to feet, and also to raise the rings a little so there's more space on the decent. But is there any other way to progress? I'm stuck on knees, and if i try on my feet, i feel like my arms/shoulders are going to tear. What should I do? Mikko Saks
I first trained ring flyes on my knees, and then have been using a stool to lift my knees up while rings being 2inches from the floor. It´s more comfortable that way, and even though i can do em with my toes on the ground, i never do it cause it just doesnt feel right. So i always do them so that my whole body is horizontal when my arms are vertical (straight below my chest), and i was wondering is it any worth doing static holds like 5-10seconds in the bottom position (nose almost touching the floor, with arms spread straight to the sides)? I couldnt find any topics on this issue with search.sorry if the post above is hard to understand, cause i speak finnish as my native language (correct term? ).thnx, mikko. braindx
In my opinion it's much better to keep working various straight arm techniques on rings.Planche, cross if you're at a high enough level to start working it, definitel back lever and front lever.Once you get those if you need the specific work that rings flys require then you should start working them. With enough straight arm work and basic strength you can do flys without assistance. I can do them weighted without having worked them but maybe 4-5 times ever.
