griffdrc
this use to happen to me when i first did these... it's strength issue... shoulder extensors and/or core... keep practicing, get stronger, and it will go away...
jl5555
Not to seem too obvious here but wouldn't it help to try these on a non-slippery surface? Synthetic pile carpet and cold tile are both extremely slippery. A surface with some grip would help.

Marlon
The reason your hands and feet are sliding out from under you is that you arent extended enough. If you lay on the floor face down with your arms over your head that will essentially be the body position you move through when doing these pushups. When you are extended out that far your hands and feet dont slide anywhere because they literally cant slide any farther due to the length of your body. You could find a less slippery surface and it might help you keep working on these till you are strong enough be do them in a more extended position. Before you do that you need to fix up your technique. In the video you posted only your hips are moving and you are arching your back. Done correctly your torso moves up and down as a unit (never arching) while remaining parallel to the floor the whole time.
Cole Dano
When i first saw your video i was wondering what the heck is that exercise, its looks almost like a wide stance Hindu Push Up.That is really going to be hard on your lumbar, be careful, BlairBob put out some excellent advice, and i'd add you might think about doing some ab wheel work. You don' need an ab wheel, just anything that will slide on your carpet. You've got to keep that midsection stiff though, tailbone rolled back for the entire movement, once your belly drops to the floor its all over, and your lumbar will soon start to hate you.Jamesters it awesome that you can post these videos, it makes things so much easier to help.Imagine if some one had just posted, my hands slip without the video clip. You would have gotten totally different advice, and we real problem would have never been addressed. So ofter the REAL problem is totally different than what we are thinking it is!
