Marky Mark Posted July 30, 2008 Share Posted July 30, 2008 Hi All, This is my first post and I'm finally a member of this fine forum (been lurking and it took a while to be approved for some reason). I first read Coach Sommer's article about gymnastics training on the dragondoor site and have been aching for the release of the book since then! After browsing reading through this forum for the last month I have to say this is an awesome site! I've been active all my life and whilst I haven't had much in the way of formal training I really enjoy much of the aspects of gymnastics. I have done some capoeira and martial arts in the past but I wouldn't call it serious training. Some things that I've been able to do over the last few years through a bit of consistant effort - 1 arm chinups - 5 on the left and 6 on the rightpistols with a 32kg kettlebell1 arm pushups- 20 each arm6 freestanding handstand pushupsThese are things I can't do today, this forum has given me inspiration to get back into shape (I'm 28). It seems that many of these things are just every day occurances for a gymnast....Damn, I think I need to find some gymnast friends Can't wait for the physical book to come out and I'll definitely will be posting more here!
