Quick Start Test Smith
Has anyone heard of Joe DeFranco and Jim Smith's AMPED Warm Up System (http://www.ampedwarmup.com/)? Joe Defranco (defrancostraining.com) has produced a great deal of great training articles (ask Joe column) in the last five years and who has a lot of impressive training results from his athletes. I don't know much about Jim Smith (I think http://www.dieselsc.com/) other than that he has good rehab and rehabilitation knowledge. I'd appreciate it if anyone would look over it. Even with Ido's squat clinic and shoulders/scapula routine, it still feels that I'm not really "ready" to train afterwards. What do you think about it? Rafael David
The tips of Ido worked very well for me so far.
Shaf
I've seen it. Joe and Jim do a good job standardizing warm ups for both specific and assorted purposes. Will it work for gymnastics? Specificially, the kind of gymnastics training that most older (say, above 20) guys here in this particular community do? That's a big 'maybe'. That's not saying you won't walk away from this product without some new tools in the toolbox, though. There are a lot of movements demonstrated here, some of which I hadn't seen, and a few that made me wonder why I'd never thought of that.As always, weight the potential benefits of the product with your discretionary income.
