ASForum
Now it´s pretty clear to me that Gymnastics won´t give you any hipertrophy at all.... :twisted:Seriously.. I think the hypertrophy seems slower & lesser, but on close observation I noticed. His biceps & shoulders are DIFFERENT. .. They are more DENSE & ROUND'ed and appear FLEXED even when unflexed. Niels Joergensen
It's rediculous that people use his coke abuse to reject him as a good sportsman. had he done enhancing drugs it still wouldn't take anything away from him as a dedicated and fantastic sportsman. But again armchair critizism is sport itself.

Mikael Kristiansen
That picture is from a competition and I dont think Van Gelder ever did a victorian in his routine. Looks more like a transfer movement, I would guess, backwards. His hands even look slightly relaxed which is natural if he is moving. Compare his hands to the crazy grip Rodrigues has when he does it.
Joshua Chan
Handbalancer is right. The picture was taken just when he drops out from planche or maltese to inverted hand and then perfom an azarian roll to cross.

Because his size is above average by far, ive never seen a gymnast with so many muscleYuri is a rings specialist. His size is impressive but not freakish for someone competing at his level. If you watch the finals from London, many of the competitors are of a similar size:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2407_uPHpIk
